HomeAboutWorking primarily in mosaic, Lee Ann is an artist who uses a wide range of materials and is constantly inspired by her gardens. Vivid colors, botanicals, insects and wildlife are represented with clarity and passion. From an exhibit in Portsmouth, NH: "Mosaics by Lee Ann Petropoulos is one of the highlights, literally, as the glass tiles and beads reflect in the well lit space. Color coordination and composition mingle in these time consuming designs, mostly floral and inspired by her gardens....All are surprisingly organic and feminine despite the solidity of the material." -- Chloe Johnson, The WireLee Ann's work has been juried into international exhibits and can be found at the Kalled Gallery in Wolfeboro, NH, Maryland Mosaics Gallery in Glyndon, MD, Maplestone Gallery in Creemore, Ontario, Canada, and CrazyLake Art Gallery in Greenfield, IN. She is a member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists, Contemporary Mosaic Artists and a board member of the Hancock County Arts and Cultural Council.Lee Ann is currently the Director and Artist in Residence at CrazyLake Art Gallery. She curates quarterly juried exhibitions, and manages the gallery of around 20 local artists, and serves as adjunct teacher at the Lawrence Art Center and SullivanMunce Cultural Center.
